Adrien Valette1920
Our company was founded by Adrien Valette at St-Clair, a small village near Gourdon (Lot), located between Périgord and Quercy.

From that moment, Valette Foie Gras has begun to be notorious outside its original region : tourists visiting the Périgord and Quercy region buy Valette products in the first shops (at Gourdon, Sarlat and Rocamadour), during gastronomical fairs (in Paris, Nice, ...) or by mail order trading.
Besides, the Valette company extends its activity toward wholesalers and retailers, in France and abroad : Valette Foie Gras attends the SIAL for the fist time in 1984 and has never missed an edition ever since.
(SIAL: one of the most important trade fair in the food industry)

1998
The first Valette shop opens in Paris, in the 14th arrondissement (avenue du Général Leclerc).

1999
Valette Foie Gras benefits the "IGP Canards à Foie gras du Sud-Ouest / Périgord" (Identification Géographique Protégée or Certified Geographical Identification) for its meat cutting centre and its production site at Bergerac [nowadays, the Valette group processes and sells 1 200 000 IGP Périgord ducks].
